The Constitution of the Anime Game Tech
Of Middlesex County College
ARTICLE 1: Name of Organization.
1.) The name of our Organization will be the Anime Game Tech of Middlesex County College.
ARTICLE 2: Purpose of Organization.
1.) The essential purpose of this organization are as follows:
A.) To increase knowledge, understanding and interest in the Japanese animation known as Anime.
B.) To provide a means of communication among persons having an interest in anime.
2.) The above purposes will be fulfilled by means of discussion, lectures, trips, viewing of anime, etc.
ARTICLE 3: Membership into Organization
1.) Membership in this club is open to any and all persons meeting one of the following requirements:
A.) Full or Part time student properly enrolled in Middlesex County College.
2.) An active member is defined by:
A.) Any individual who satisfies section A of Section 1 above and, does also attend at least one half of the club meetings schedules during the semester for at least one semester. There shall be a one-semester grace period during which a member shall be considered active without fulfilling the above requirements.
3.) All active members are entitled to one, and only one vote.
4.) A quorum is formed when one half of the active membership is in attendance.
ARTICLE 5: Officers of the Organization
1.) The officers of this club shall be:
A.) President (a.k.a. Anime Guru)
B.) Vice President (a.k.a. Number Two)
C.) Secretary (a.k.a. Scroll Keeper)
D.) Treasurer (a.k.a. Purse Warden)
E.) Video Library Director (a.k.a. The Librarian)
F.) Club Representatives (a.k.a. The Peace Keepers)
2.) Nominees for Office shall be limited to active student members that are in good academic standing.
3.) Vacancies of Office:
A.) In the event of a vacancy in the Presidency, the Vice President shall become the President Pro Tem.
B.) In the Event of the vacancy of any of any office, other than that of the Presidency, the current President will designate an active member to assume the duties of the vacated office, Pro Tem.
C.) Any vacancies of office will be filled at a special election, which will follow the standard election procedures. (see Article 5, sections 2 & 3)
4.) Impeachment of officers causes deemed reasonable by membership:
A.) Reasons for Impeachment:
1.) Any officer of the Anime Club may be subject to impeachment or recall by violating the constitution bylaws, or for conviction of felony while in office, or waiting to assume office; or for malfeasance in office.
B.) Procedures for Impeachment:
1.) A proposal for impeachment must be presented at a regular club meeting by any member of the club.
2.) A majority of the members present at the regular club meeting is required to pass the proposal for a vote of impeachment.
3.) Upon Passage of the proposal, a secret ballot will be held at the next scheduled meeting to determine the outcome of the impeachment.
4.) A majority vote by active student members will impeach the officer, effective immediately.
5.) Any officer wishing to resign his/her position must submit a letter of resignation to the officers at least two weeks prior to the proposed date of resignation.
5.) Duties of the Officers:
A.) The Duties of the Presidesnt (a.k.a. Anime Guru) shall be:
1.) To call and preside at all general, special or executive meetings.
2.) To establish all committees of this club.
3.) To appoint all committee chairpersons, with the approval of the remaining officers.
4.) To attend (or deligate attendance for) the College Center Programming Board (CCPB) meetings and report regularly board activities to the club.
B.) The duties of the Vice President (a.k.a. Number Two) Shall be:
1.) To assume the duties of the President in the absence of the President.
2.) To assume the duties that are delegated to him/her by the President
C.) The duties of the Secretary (a.k.a. Scroll Keeper) shall be:
1.) To keep the minutes of all club meetings.
2.) To care for all club correspondence.
3.) To produce a membership statement upon request.
D.) The duties of the Treasurer (a.k.a. Purse Warden) shall be:
1.) To maintain all financial records for the club.
2.) To produce a financial statement upon request.
3.) To provide the above in accordance with CCPB Guidelines.
E.) The duties of the Video Library Director (a.k.a. The Librarian) shall be:
1.) To both maintain and protect the video library kept by the Anime Club.
F.) The duties of the Club Representatives (a.k.a The Peace Keepers) shall be:
1.) To attend all the committee meetings on which they serve and report regularly the activities of their respective committees to the club.
2.) Officers are required to attend all scheduled club and officer meetings, unless previously informing the President of extenuating circumstances.
ARTICLE 6: Election Procedures
1.) Four weeks prior to elections being held, it will be announced that nominations for club officers will be at the next meeting.
2.) At the next meeting, nominations will be accepted for club officers. Any active member may nominate themselves or any other active club members.
3.) At the meeting subsequent to nominations, nominess for office may give speeches, after which elections will be held.
ARTICLE 7: Meetings of the Organization
1.) A general meeting of the club shall be called at a time and place designated by the President.
2.) All meetings shall be held on a bi-monthly basis during division hour or college hour.
3.) Executive meetings shall be called by the President at a time and place also designated by the President
